The California Independent Provider Training Center (CAIPTC) is a full-service training center, providing quality training and support to those that work directly with seniors, as well as individuals with disabilities, including children, in California.

    We proudly service 21 counties across California: Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Stanislaus, Kern, Imperial, Butte, Placer, Merced, Santa Barbara, Madera, San Luis Obispo, El Dorado, Sutter, Nevada, Tuolomne, Plumas, Mariposa, Sierra, Mono and Alpine.
  • Training Availability
    Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our training program has been impacted. While some topics are being taught virtually, other topics have been paused until we can return to in-person learning. Please check back with us to find out if we have returned to in-person learning in your county.

    Certificate of Completion is available for some of our classes.

Our Goal

It is the priority of the California Independent Provider Training Center to provide accessible, quality training to IHSS providers, thus improving this growing industry that care for our most vulnerable population.

In order to maximize accessibility for all homecare providers, the CAIPTC will avoid charging a fee for instruction whenever possible, and minimize fees charged when necessary.

The CAIPTC will provide training opportunities to homecare providers regardless, of race, gender, nationality, age, sexual orientation, marital status, socioeconomic status or union status.

  • What trainings do you offer?

    Throughout the year, we offer an array of classes. Currently, we are offering COVID-19 Basics and Infectious Disease Response training in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

  • Where are your trainings available?

    Due to the coronavirus pandemic, virtual classes are being conducted at this time.

    Prior to the pandemic and subject to instructor availability, in-person classes are scheduled in one of the following 21 counties: Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Stanislaus, Kern, Imperial, Butte, Placer, Merced, Santa Barbara, Madera, San Luis Obispo, El Dorado, Sutter, Nevada, Tuolomne, Plumas, Mariposa, Sierra, Mono and Alpine.

  • Are your trainings certified?

    Certificate of Completion is available for some of our classes.
